Description:

Atrial fibrillation is a rhythm abnormality in the top chamber of the heart which causes the top chamber to fibrillate, as opposed to having a normal coordinated contraction. The pulse will be irregular, and usually too fast. Symptoms can be fainting, or weakness, feeling an irregular heartbeat, palpitations. Afib can lead to blood clots, which may cause a stroke.
