Description:

Low Back Pain causes $20 billion in healthcare expenditures a year. 60-90% of people will have an episode of back pain in their lifetime. It also causes significant disability. Most causes of back pain are benign, but it is important to look for red flags for more worrisome causes of back pain.

Thanks for the information. I was suffering from lower back pain since 6 months. My doctor recommended me some core back strengthening exercises. But this video was very useful as it gave an in-depth overview of causes of back pain.

My husband is having severe pain and is on steroids and pain killers. I think he needs an MRI.

I had piercing low back pain last weekend. However, it went away. Do I have to see an orthopedist?

I exercise and eat the right diet, I am thin, but I still get low back pain every few months. I know I that osteoporosis as well as arthritis run in my family, and I assume that my back pain has something to do with this. I am doing all I can, but if these symptoms become more severe, I may need to look into some medical treatments.
