Aortic Coarctation. Aortic coarctation is a congenital narrowing of the Aorta- the major blood vessell of the body. IF left untreated, hypertension, stroke, heart disease are all more likely. A balloon catheter can be used to open the narrowing in aortic coarctation. Dr. William Moskowitz. VCU.
