This animated video reviews arthritis of the knee. Arthritis is caused by chronic inflammation which wears out the cartilage, and then bone rubs against bone, cusing pain and make is hard to move. Conservative treatment includes weight loss, activity changes, walking aids, and medication. A total knee replacement is the surgical treatment if conservative treatment fails.
