Description:

Orthostatic hypotension occurs when you go from a lying or sitting position to a standing position. It occurs because blood pools in the legs, and lowers the blood pressure. The symptoms are lightheadedness and dizziness. You should make sure to stay well hydrated, and be sure to have something to hold on to when you get out of bed, to avoid falling. Dr. Heller, Please tell us more about blood pressure. I am first learning about it and want to know more. Does drinking alcohol hurt you if you have high blood pressure?

Thanks Dr. Heller,
I have heard a lot about you and what a great doctor you are. In this day and age, we need more docs like you who are committed to greatness.

You are so handsome...........I wish you were my doctor. I get light headed when I get up quickly. Maybe I am taking too much meds for high blood pressure. Please respond.
