Atrial Fibrillation is arhythm abnormality in which the top chambers of the heart have irregular electrical stimulation causing them to fibrillate. Symptoms include heart racing, palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue, dizzy, chest pain, and syncope- passing out or fainting. Medicines to slow the heart rate are digoxin, beta blockers, and calcium blockers. Some people require cardioversion or a shock. Ablation, or a Maze procedure can cure Afib.
