Description:

Dr. Elie Haddad discusses the use of ablation in the treatment of heart arrhythmias. Heart rhythm problems can cause palpitations, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, and loss of consciousness. These are due to abnormal electrical pathways. Newer techniques are used to ablate atrial fibrillation, a common heart rhythm disorder.

Ablation was done on my neice for what they described as an SVT. The cardiologist said it was a fast heart rythmn from the top chambers of the heart. It took a few hours, but since that time she has had no more episodes of the palpitations.
