Description:

In a new study it was found that treating cataracts with surgery in the elderly can reduce the number of auto accidents they are in by 50%. Cataracts are a common conition of the eye, especially in the elderly. It affects vision, including night vision. Cynthia Owsley, MD Univ. of ALabama at Birmingham.

My aunt had a cataract and we did not let her drive for the six months prior to her surgery. Now her vision is so much better. I tell her she has the eyesight of a 20 year old. She recovered from the eye surgery very quickly, and her vision was improved almost immediately.
