Chronic Myeloid Leukemia -CML. Stem cells are produced in the bone marrow that become the cells that compose the blood. CML is a cancer of the white blood cells in the blood and bone marrow. CML is an inherited defect where some of the DNA on chromosome 9 transfers to #22, now called "the philadelphia chromosome". This makes too many granulocytes form. Common symptoms are anemia, weight loss, fever and an enlarged spleen. Video courtesy of BLausen Medical.
