Colorectal Cancer includes colon cancer, which is common, and rectal cancer. Some colorectal cancers are inherited. People with familial polyposis are at very high risk of colon cancer. Other risks factors include: Inflammatory bowel disease- Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis, advanced age, poor diet, and inactivity. High fiber diet will decreases risk. Colonoscopy is a good screening test. Symptoms include abdominal pain, blood in stool- hematochezia, or change in bowel habits.
