Description:

With newer techniques many of these defects are fixed with catheter treatment. ASD-Atrial septal defects are holes between the 2 top chambers of the heart, and VSD-ventricular septal defects are holes between the bottom chambers. Mitral valve prolapse is when the mitral valve between the chambers allows some blood to leak back in the heart. MVP can cause palpitations and congestive heart failure.
