Description:

Coronary artery disease is the most common heart disease and it is the number one cause of death for both men and women in the United States. As plaque builds in the arteries, it narrows the coronary artery and makes it harder for blood to flow through to the heart, causing chest pain, shortness of breath and fatigue. This hardening of the arteries is called atherosclerosis, or arteriosclerosis, and is the main cause of coronary artery disease.

I think that this hardening of the arteries starts in childhood depending on what your parents feed you. At this point of my life, I am very concerned with heart attacks and cholestorol. I am doing everything in my power to stay healthy, eat right and exercise. My doctor said I had some atherosclerosis but with medication, it could be controlled.
