Scabies information. Scabies is more common in children and women. It causes intense itchiness, and redness of the skin. This is an infection with mites, and is transmitted by close contact. Psoriasis is due to an immune dysregulation. 10-30% of all psoriasis patients also have arthritis, with stiffness, pain, swelling, and tenderness of some joints. The skin rash usually comes before the arthritis. Other symptoms include morning stiffness, generalized fatigue, reduced range of motion, swollen fingers, a red painful eye, and nail changes.
