Diverticulosis is a common gastrointestinal finding on colonoscopy. Diverticulosis is a condition with outpouchings of the GI tract, mostly in the colon. A high fiber diet with less processed foods will lower the risk of complications of diverticulosis including infection- diverticulitis, and symptoms of abdominal pain.
