Ear infections are common in kids. Middle ear infections commonly occur when the eustacian tube is not working correctly which causes fluid build up in the ear. The symptoms of a middle ear infection are tugging on the ear, drainage from the ear, fever, ear pain, and difficulty sleeping. Sometimes these infections require antibiotics.
