Chronic Kidney Disease is a progressive disease inwhich there is worsening of kidney function. Many diseases contribute to chronic kidney disease including hypertension and diabetes. Early in chronic kidney disease the focus is usually on slowing the progresssion of the disease by controlling the underlying problems which are contributing to the kidney disease.
