Graves' disease is a thyroid abnormality. The eye deformity can require surgery to repair. An orbital decompression can reposition the eyes, so they do not appear to be bulging so much. Thanks for the informative video. I am planning to have surgery for my upper lids that have retracted since I developed Graves disease. The one eye is much worse then the other since it also has a greater lower lid retraction. For this the doctor suggested that he would take some skin from the inside of my mouth and put it on the inside of my lower lid to bring it up. Is this the right method? I am hoping to get some input from you. jason 11.7 years ago
