Description:

GERD- Gastroesophageal reflux disease diagnosis. GERD causes symptoms of burning in the chest, and bad taste in the mouth when stomach acids go back into the esophagus from the stomach. Sometimes the diagnosis will be made presumptively by the symptoms and treated with antacids and medicines that decrease the stomach acid, such as the PPI's. Others may need an upper endoscopy.
