GERD- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease causes symptoms of burning in the chest frequently associated with meals, and bad taste in the mouth. Besides the usual causes, such as diet, alcohol use, other factors such as stress and anxiety and tight fitting clothing can exacerbate GERD. In addition to the standard treatment using antacids, and medicines for reflux, such as the PPI's-Nexium, omeprazole, and protonix, stress relief with yoga, or meditating can also help.
