DVT is deep venous thrombosis. This is simply a blood clot in one of your veins. DVT occurs most commonly in the legs. Risk factors for development of DVT include surgery, hospitalization, trauma, cancer, and neurologic disorders. Symptoms are commonly pain and swelling in one leg.
