H1N1update- caring for your children. Dr. Gregg DiGiulio, Director of Emergency Services at Akron Children's. The most common symptoms of H1N1 are fever-whcih can be treated with tylenol, cough-should only be treated in children over 4 if needed, a humidifier can help. You should NOT give children with the flu aspirin as it is associated with Reye's syndrome.
