Dr Magee, as a healthcare worker I could not agree more. There are so many guidelines and goals that the healthcare system is held to in order to provide good healthcare. The government looks for 90% comliance to core measures in giving the right medicines in certain diseases and other treatment. But when our patients still smoke, eat the wrong foods, are morbidly obese, and don't take their medications at home, there isn't much we can do.
