Description:

Dr. David Eisenman, a otology/neurotology specialist at Univ. of Maryland. Hearing loss can happen from a many causes. Chronic noise can cause hearing loss, especially occupational exposure. In children, chronic ear infections, with fluid will rarely cause hearing loss. There is a wide variety of treatment for hearing loss, including surgery, hearing aids, and cochlear implants.

I am concerned about my grandchildren who wear IPods to listen to their music. I have heard that this can cause hearing loss. I do not want to see these little kids winding up with hearing aids or cochlear implants. What can one do?
