Description:

Irregularities in the veins of the leg cause inflammation. This inflammation causes your body for form a clot. This clot can move from the veins in the legs, through the heart to the lungs, causing a pulmonary embolus. The symptoms of pulmonary embolus are shortness of breath, chest pain, and lightheadedness, and coughing. If you have any of these symptoms and are short of breath, call your doctor immediately.
