Description:

The thyroid is a gland in the neck that regulates your bodies metabolism. Hyperthyroidism, and overactive thyroid causes sweatiness, nervousness, irritability, and weight loss. Hypothyroidism causes dry skin, sleepiness, fatigue, feeling of cold, and constipation. Women are more commonly affected by thyroid disease. Hypothyroidism is treated with thyroid hormone replacement.
