Description:

The medical terminology for chest pain that comes from blockage in the arteries in the heart is called angina pectoris. The typical feeling that a patient has with angina pectoris or angina is a tightness, or burning in the chest that lasts for atleast a few minutes. A sharp chest pain that only lasts a few seconds is rarely from the heart.

? if you have a artery in the heart that doesnt go the normal route and when it flres up you get symtom of a heart attack but you know its just a hic-up in your heart. When will you know you have the real thing?(Birth defect) The other day I had surgery on my arm, later that day I went on another appt. my BP was 183/80. No one thought much of it, it might have been just because I had surgery I was told. Later that night I woke up to a pounding in my chest, no pain, but boy did I think my heart was going to jump out of inside of me. I felt alittle quezy and had a headache. Told my husband he said it was because of the surgery and just go and rest. I went to another room and waited for everything to calm down, it took about 2 1/2 hours but everything did calm down.I do have nitro, but didnt think there was any reason to take it nor call 911. I'm 60 and have type 2 diabetes, a little overweight(no kidding, imagine that). I also have some other defects, which I didnt know about until much older, like in my 30's and 50's. So what should I do?
