Dr. Rex Hamilton, an Eye Surgeon from UCLA, discusses Lasik surgery, including using laser to make the flap in the cornea, which is necessary for the surgery. Then the laser reshapes the cornea to improve the visual acuity. Not everyone is a candidate for LASIK. For those people, a lens implant may be more appropriate.
