Description:

THe types of skin cancer include melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and pre-cancerous actinic keratosis- which can progress to squamous cell carcinoma. Any mole that changes color, grows, is asymetrical, or is irregular should be checked by a dermatologist.

I recently had a growth and my dermatologist was almost certain that it was nothing. However, he took a biopsy. It looked bothersome and I have become well informed about the different types of skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma can be confused with brown spots. Squamous cell carcinoma looks much more menacing to me.
