Description:

Checking your body for skin cancer is very important. Any skin lesions that are worrisome should be examined by a dermatologist. Dr. Hadley King, a dermatologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering, discusses the different types of skin cancer and what you should look for on your skin.

I recently had a growth and my dermatologist was almost certain that it was nothing. However, he took a biopsy. It looked bothersome and I have become well informed about the different types of skin cancer. Basal cell carcinoma can be confused with brown spots. Squamous cell carcinoma looks much more menacing to me.
