Lowering resting heart rate may prevent heart attack: Dr. Jean-Claude Tardiff, a cardiologist at the Montreal Heart Institute, discusses a study in which he and other investigators looked at the the effect of lowering heart rate in patients with coronary artery disease. Lowering the resting heart rate will lower the risk of heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.
