MRSA is methicillin resistant staph aureus. MRSA is usually acquired in the hospital, but can also be from close contact with someone with MRSA. Community acquired MRSA is usually a skin infection. Signs of MRSA include a high fever, greater than 101, chills, severe pain, boils or red areas on the skin that turn black.
