Migraine headaches are common, about 30 million people in America suffer with migraines. Migraines are more common in women, it usually begins in the 20's. The headache is usually described as severe, and is commonly on one side, it is throbbing, and made worse with activity. There is a genetic component to migraine headaches. Dr. Larry Newman, the Director of the Headache Ctr. at Roosevelt Hospital, discusses migraine headache.
