Dr Antonio DeSalles, a neurosurgeon at UCLA, discusses dystonia, and the treatment with a special pacemaker. Dystonia is a condition which causes the brain to fire abnormally, sending impulses of electricity to muscles that cause them to contract constantly. A new device, which is a pacemaker with the lead of the pacemaker in the brain, can stop these impulses.
