An overview if Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, commonly called PID. This disease is an infection which can involve the uterus, fallopian tubes, and the ovaries. Frequent symptoms include pain, fever, and vaginal dyscharge. THe most common cause is from sexually transmitted diseases. Usually it can be sucessfully treated with antibiotics. If left untreated, it can cause infertility.
