Plantar Fasciitis is an inflammation of the tissue on the heal of the foot. It is caused by having flat feet and by overuse. It can be very painful, but there are good treatments which include stretching, heat , ice, strengthening exercises, orthodics, and rest. Phil Orte PT, a physical therapist from the Mayo Clinic, discusses plantar fasciitis.
