Description:

Dementia causes accumulation of proteins in the brain. In alzheimer's disease the accumulation is called amyloid protein, in frontotemporal dementia the protein clumping is called tau. Dr. Adam Boxer, a neurologist from UCSF, discusses targeting these proteins for treatment of dementia.

I have always heard that aluminum causes dementia and Alzheimers. I have never heard the term tau before. Are you finding this on an EEG or a blood test? I am still young but am concerned about this for my parents. Your work is fascinating. Can you give some tips to prevent Alzheimers?
