Description:

This animated video shows you what happens in the lungs when you have pulmonary hypertension, and what the complications of pulmonary hypertension are. Increased amounts of an exzyme endothelin causes constriction of the arteries of the lung, increasing the pressure in these vessels. The main symptom in patients with pulonary fibrosis is shortness of breath. Video courtesy of Blausen Medical.
