They symptoms of reflux or GERD- gastroesophageal reflux disorder. Symptoms commonly occur at night if 5 hours has not passed since the last meal. Food and acid from the stomach reflux back through the gastro esophageal sphincter. Symptoms include a cough, burning in the chest and throat, feeling of food stuck in the throat, hoarseness, and a bad, sour taste in the mouth.
