SBK or Sub-Bowman's Keratomileusis refers to a newer way that Eye Surgeons are performing Laser Eye Surgery. This is basically when the surgeon is using a laser to take a very thin flap of the cornea to perform LASIK. Traditionally having a thin cornea was one of the reasons that a patient could not have LASIK. SBK is now canging that. It seems to have some benefit over traditional LASIK including less dry eyes.
