Safety of LASIK Surgery vs. wearing contacts: Dr. Kenneth Rosenthal, an opthalmologist in New York discusses the long term risks of wearing contacts versus that of LASIK surgery. Although LASIK has the added risk of surgery, he says that the long term risk of complications, including infection, are higher with contact use.
