Schizophrenia is an illness that affects thinking and behaivior. It usually begins in the early 20's. The early warning signs are a young person who becomes withdrawn, not having the usually hobbies, who may neglect their appearance, feeling depressed, and hearing voices. Medication is an important part of the treatment. The medicines are called antipsychotics, but they can cause movement disorders. There are associated therapies, and lifestyle changes.
