Description:

Sickle Cell Disease: Sickle cell disease is an abnormality of the blood cells, where they become abnormal in shape, and look like a sickle. These cells essentially get clogged in the small blood vessels. Pain is the most common symptoms of sickle cell disease. Many of these patients will require blood transfusions. Bone marrow transplantation can be helpful for some.
