Statins improve outcome after stroke: Dr. Wyatt Decker of the Mayo Clinic reviews a study that looked at patients who had a stroke. It found that patients who were on a statin drug for cholesterol had a better recovery than those who were not on a statin.

It is probably much harder for your doctor to get these samples as President Obama has put many restrictions on the drug companies over the past 2 months.

I have not been taking my statins lately but this convinces me. My doctor used to give me free samples but I haven't received them in awhile. I will go to the pharmacy today.
