Description:

Treatment of stroke: Stroke, sometimes referred to as CVA has been treated more agressively recently. Stroke treatment now can include using catheters to relieve the obstruction in the brain. Neurologists are now referring to stroke as a BRAIN ATTACK to emphasize the urgent treatment just like the treatment for a heart attack. First the patient and family must recognize the symptoms of stroke. Dr. J Reilly, Ochsner Clinic. Treatment of Stroke.

Stroke can be devastating. I wish they had these treatments of stroke when my grandfather had a stroke. He couldn't speak well after and was confined to a wheelchair. If they had treated a stroke as a brain attack back then, and taken out the blood clot, he may have been in much better shape after the stroke.
