The most common symptoms of a herniated disc are pain and numbness or tingling in the arms, as well as weakness. It is so painful to have a ruptured disk in the neck. My son has been suffering and we are hoping that conservative treatment will help. He seems to be getting better and may consider having herniated disk surgery if all else fails. Another close family member has already had a fusion.
