Josh Wells, EMT, a paramedic, demonstrates how to use an EPI pen for the treatment of anaphylaxis. The EPI pen delivers a dose of epinephrine, which quickly treats the severe allergic reaction. If some has severe allergic reaction such as shortness of breath, feeling like the throat is closing, or facial and neck swelling, it can be lifesaving treatment.
