This animated video shows you what causes glaucoma, a common cause of blindness when left untreated. Glaucoma occurs when the drainage system of the eye becomes blocked and then the fluid builds up and causes an increase in pressue in the eye. Eventually you get blind spots, and if untreated, even blindness. Eye drops can treat the increased pressure in the eye. Video courtesy of Blausen Medical.
