Description:

What are the treatments for type 1 diabetes? Type 1 diabetics are always treated with insulin. Some types of insulin are fast acting and others are longer acting, and both can help to control blood sugars. There are subcutaneous insulin pumps that can be used in some people to control blood sugar.
