Symptoms of diabetes include excessive urination, thirst, weight loss, fatigue , blurred vision, non healing wound, and prolonged infection. Type 1 diabetes usually comes on relatively quickly, while type 2 can be longer. Diabetes is diagnosed with a blood sugar, or a glucose tolerance test. Patients who are overweight, and patients with the metabolic syndrome are at risk.
