This animated video reviews myopia, which is the medical term for nearsightedness. If the cornea is elongated or bends light rays too much, you have myopia. WIth myopia you can see close up, but your distance vision is affected. LASIK laser surgery or glasses can correct this problem. Video courtesy of eMedTV.com
