What is a Cataract? Cataract is simply a clouding of the lens of the eye causing dim or blurry vision. RIsk factors for cataracts include family history of cataracts, injury to the eye, past eye surgery, diabetes, certain medications, poor nutrition, and exposure to UV radiation from the sun.
